Maroc : l’Église évangélique vous propose un séminaire d’islamologie

Cette formation – qui se déroulera du 29 juin au 10 juillet 2026 – s’inscrit dans une démarche d’ouverture et de connaissance mutuelle. Après une introduction universitaire sur l’islam, abordé à la fois comme religion, civilisation et réalité sociale, le programme proposera quarante-deux heures de cours, des visites sur le terrain et un voyage d’étude de deux jours, à Fès. Les participants et participantes découvriront ainsi les différentes dimensions du fait religieux musulman dans le contexte particulier du Maroc, pays arabo-musulman profondément enraciné dans le continent africain.

Le séminaire s’adresse à un large public chrétien : étudiants et étudiantes, chercheurs et chercheuses, responsables religieux ou toute personne engagée dans des contextes marqués par la diversité culturelle et confessionnelle. Venants d’Europe ou d’Afrique, ils et elles partagent souvent une même préoccupation : mieux comprendre l’autre afin de développer des relations fondées sur le respect, l’écoute et le dialogue.

Au-delà d’un simple apprentissage théorique, cette initiative veut fournir des outils concrets pour appréhender la complexité du phénomène religieux et encourager une culture de la rencontre. Dans un monde traversé par les incompréhensions identitaires et religieuses, l’Église évangélique au Maroc affirme ainsi sa volonté de promouvoir un dialogue exigeant, nourri par la connaissance, l’expérience du terrain et la fraternité humaine.

Pour s’inscrire au séminaire, les candidats et candidates doivent transmettre un dossier comprenant un diplôme de niveau baccalauréat minimum, une pièce d’identité valide, une lettre de motivation, une lettre de recommandation ainsi qu’un curriculum vitae à jour.

Les frais d’inscription s’élèvent à 500 euros (5 400 dirhams marocains). Ce montant couvre les enseignements et le voyage d’étude à Fès. L’hébergement reste à la charge des participants.

Morocco: The Evangelical Church invites you to an Islamic studies seminar

As part of its mission to foster encounters and dialogue between cultures and religions, the Evangelical Church in Morocco invites you to take part in an Islamic studies seminar organised by the Al Mowafaqa Institute, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of Islam in all its spiritual, historical and cultural richness.

This course, which will take place from 29 June to 10 July 2026, is part of an initiative to promote openness and mutual understanding. Following an academic introduction to Islam, approached as a religion, a civilisation and a social reality, the programme will offer forty-two hours of lectures, field visits and a two-day study trip to Fez. Participants will thus discover the various dimensions of the Muslim religious experience within the specific context of Morocco, an Arab-Muslim country deeply rooted in the African continent.

The seminar is aimed at a broad Christian audience: students, researchers, professionals, religious leaders, or anyone working in contexts marked by cultural and religious diversity. Coming from Europe or Africa, participants often share a common concern: to better understand one another in order to develop relationships based on respect, listening and dialogue.

Going beyond mere theoretical learning, this initiative aims to provide practical tools for understanding the complexity of the religious phenomenon and to foster a culture of encounter. In a world rife with misunderstandings regarding identity and religion, the Evangelical Church in Morocco is thus affirming its commitment to promoting a rigorous dialogue, informed by knowledge, practical experience and human fraternity.

To register for the seminar, candidates must submit an application comprising a minimum of a baccalaureate-level qualification, a valid identity document, a letter of motivation, a letter of recommendation and an up-to-date curriculum vitae.

The registration fee is 500 euros (5,400 Moroccan dirhams). This amount covers tuition and the study trip to Fez. Accommodation is the responsibility of the participants.
