Rencontre des trois secrétariats : l’espérance malgré tout
Le cadre verdoyant du parc, les temps de prière avec les sœurs ont permis de rythmer les journées dans une ambiance sereine et calme malgré les perspectives sombres qu’affrontent les trois organisations. Les discussions ont permis de prendre conscience des enjeux financiers de part et d’autre.
La recherche de fonds est un sujet que partagent les trois organisations. Elles ont décidé d’approfondir leur partage d’expérience et de dégager des pistes de travail à travers des rencontres en visioconférence.
L’activité en pleine évolution est celle de l’échange de personnes où les demandes des pays du Sud évoluent vers une recherche d’une plus grande compétence en même temps qu’un vrai engagement chrétien. L’envoi des jeunes en réciprocité vers la France est un phénomène en pleine croissance. Enfin, la question de la formation théologique et interculturelle n’a pas été oubliée. Tous s’investissent dans ce domaine crucial, soit par les bourses pour des étudiants, des chercheurs, ou par des conférences en ligne, ou encore par les sessions de formation de théologie interculturelle à l’institut œcuménique de Bosseyen Suisse.
Malgré des perspectives financières inquiétantes, les permanents et permanentes sont convaincus que leur mission et leur travail ont du sens et donnent une espérance à toutes les Églises fondatrices ou membres de ces organisations ou communautés.
Meeting of the three secretariats: Hope in spite of everything
The three secretariats of DM, Defap and Cevaa met for their annual meeting in Pomeyrol near Aix-en-Provence in France, at the home of the deaconess sisters, for three days of exchange, reflection and the development of joint work plans for the coming year.
The green setting of the park and times of prayer with the sisters helped to set the pace for the days, as well as giving them a serene and calm atmosphere despite the gloomy outlook facing the three organizations. The discussions raised awareness of the financial stakes on both sides.
Fundraising is a subject shared by all three organizations. They have decided to deepen their sharing of experience and ideas on this subject through video conferences.
A fast-growing activity is the exchange of persons where requests from countries in the South are evolving towards a search for greater skills and a genuine Christian commitment. Sending young people to France on a reciprocal basis is a growing phenomenon. Finally, the issue of theological and intercultural training has not been forgotten. Everyone is involved in this crucial area, whether through grants for students and researchers, online conferences or intercultural theology training sessions at the oecumenical institut of Bossey in Switzerland.
Despite a worrying financial outlook, the permanent staff are convinced that their mission and their work make sense and give hope to all the founding or member churches of these organizations or communities.
